Before You Were Born I Set You Apart

“The word of the LORD came to me, saying, ‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.’" Jeremiah 1:4-5

Abortion advocates will tell you a fetus is simply a clump of cells, an insignificant combination of an egg and sperm. Labeled as inconvenient and largely unimportant, you can destroy these cells with a simple procedure. One visit to a clinic can remove that invader in your uterus. Those cells will be gone, and your life can continue without that disruption.

These words probably made you cringe. Maybe they made you angry, or maybe they made your heart hurt. This words impacted you because you know the truth. You know that fetus is not just a clump of cells. It is not inconvenient. It is not unimportant. It is not insignificant. That fetus is indeed a human being, formed by our ever-talented Creator, the almighty God.

God, the author of life, created that beautiful baby. From the moment of conception, this baby has its very own, distinct DNA. God has already given this child a unique identity and planned an entire life. He knows the color of baby’s eyes. He knows how many hairs will be on his head. He knows how much she will weigh. He knows he will scrape his knee in the second grade, and He knows she will be the valedictorian of her class. He knows because this baby has been written in the book of life. This is a child he saved on Calvary, this is a soul He redeemed.

The baby our clients tell us was unplanned is the same baby God had planned from the beginning of time.

And these words are powerful. Because when our clients see baby as a mistake, we can remind them that God does not make mistakes. He created this baby with purpose, and this baby is part of His divine plan. Understanding this fundamental principle provides reassurance and instills hope within our clients. God’s unfailing love conquers the doubt, fears, and insecurities of our clients. He overcomes the pressures and provides the strength our clients need.  He continues to change lives, and we feel humbled to witness His grace each and every day.

We are officially over a week into the new year. How are those resolutions coming? Have you managed to read that daily devotion, go to the gym every day, cut sugar from your diet? For some, resolutions are easy to fulfill, and for others, they can feel daunting. You make these goals with the best intentions, but meeting those goals can be a challenge.

Maybe your time is limited. Maybe you lack support. Maybe you simply do not know how to start.

We encounter people who have resolved to become involved. They have made it their goal to give back to their community and volunteer. But they often have one primary barrier to fulfilling this resolution: they are unsure where they fit.

If this sentence describes you, we would first like to say thank you! We truly appreciate your selfless heart and generous spirit! Our organization has many volunteering opportunities, and we would love to have you on our team!

For those interested in volunteering, here are opportunities available to you!
  1. Client Advocate: Provide compassionate, non-judgmental care to clients experiencing challenges regarding pregnancy and parenthood. Advocates listen to clients, offer support, and give clients vital information.
  2. Receptionists: Greet our clients and establish a safe, comforting atmosphere. While in this role, you will also answer phones and assist with office work.
  3. Special Events: Share our ministry with the community! Help organize our special events and raise the funds needed for our programs!
  4. Helpline: Answer the calls when clients need it the most! Be there to help clients when they call for support regarding pregnancy or parenting.
  5. Support Staff: Assist our team members by stuffing envelopes, preparing mailings, making phone calls, and coordinating deliveries to churches.
  6. Data Entry Specialist: Ensure our advocates are prepared and help with client data entry.
  7. Board Member: Share your voice and oversee the activities of the organization. These positions are limited.
  8. Be an Ambassador: Encourage your church or community to become involved with our organization. Forward our newsletters, invite friends to special events, and share our posts on social media!

These are just some ways you can support this ministry! If you have alternate ideas, or questions about these positions, please contact our organization at contact@alife2.com!

We look forward to meeting you and working together to serve our Savior!

New Year. Next Generation.

“Future generations will be told about the Lord. They will proclaim his righteousness, declaring to a people yet unborn: He has done it!” Psalm 22:30b-31

Every year we choose a theme for our organization. We choose a direction, select scripture, and outline our intentions for the next 365 days. These steps allow us to focus on our goals and place Christ at the center of our work. These themes give us purpose and ensure that we remain mission-minded. This year, we have chosen “Generation to Generation” as our theme. Our organization places emphasis on spreading the gospel to every generation, so this was a natural fit.

While this overarching message will guide us for the entire year, we have included sub-themes to provide direction for each quarter. For the first quarter, we have elected to focus on the topic “New Year. Next Generation.” This theme embraces the fresh start provided by a new year and really establishes our goal of saving more and more lives.

Entering the new year means being given new opportunities. For our organization, this means reaching new people, impacting new families, and saving new lives. The next generation of babies is waiting to be born, and we are determined to prepare the way for them. We will do this by continuing to offer free services for those facing pregnancy decisions, and expanding our care for families who have chosen life.

Increasing our support for our families with children will certainly benefit our organization. Developing relationships with our clients past pregnancy is important because it provides us with more opportunities to share the gospel. Establishing these connections is essential in building trust and introducing families to the Word of God. Expanding our support for parents will simultaneously allow us to address the physical and spiritual needs of our clients.

By the grace of God, we want to impact more families than before and encourage them to choose life for the next generation. We want to stand in the way of the abortion trend and empower parents to be the best for their children. Through our medical clinic, and with God’s permission, we can share the gospel and introduce His love to this new generation. Together, we can change and save lives.
